Definition of the specific literary status of the Bible as Scriptures in relation to literature as fiction.
Survey of the history of formation and canonization, of translations (Septuagint, Hieronymus, Luther, Buber and Rosenzweig) and interpretations of the Bible (intra- and extrabiblical interpretation; the apostle Paul, Philo of Alexandria, medieval quadriga, Luther, Calvin, modern historical criticism) from antiquity to the present day.
Samples of the literary reading of the Bible.
Readings of authors, whose works refer to the Bible in Slovene literature (Prešeren, Gregorčič, Murn, Cankar etc.).
