Art of the Early and High Middle Ages in Western Europe - Selected chapters

Lectures are related to the research field of the lecturer and primarily encompass the art of the Middle Ages in Central and Western Europe. Lectures are formed either as shorter thematic chapters or as one broader unit; thematology changes every year and lectures may cover the interpretation of written sources or stylistic and iconographic/iconologic approaches to the monuments. Subjects may be especially related to questions of methods and systematic (like methods in researching medieval illuminated manuscripts), and problems may be set in broader context of recent investigation results. – While changing subjects of selected lectures, the development of problem is always set also against the net of the-then society and culture.
