Invitation To Students To Help Organise An International Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference

Students are invited to participate in organizing the international interdisciplinary scientific conference The Agency of the Dead in the Lives of Individuals: Communication with the Dead, which will take place within the ERC project DEAGENCY from 1 to 3 July 2026 at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. 

The work is voluntary; however, students may also have it recognized as part of their practical training/study placement. 

The tasks will include assistance with the following activities, which will be assigned according to your availability and skills: helping with registration and providing information to conference participants, directing participants, preparing and cleaning up refreshments, preparing and clearing water glasses in classrooms during breaks, providing technical support with computers and projectors, and/or photography. 

As part of the practical training, students are also expected to attend conference lectures and prepare a conference report for the journals Svetovi or Glasnik SED, or another form of report as agreed with the mentor. 

Attendance will tentatively be required at the following times: 

• Wednesday, 1 July, from 7:30 to 17:30 
• Thursday, 2 July, from 8:30 to 18:30 
• Friday, 3 July, from 8:30 to 14:30
