The seminar classes are devised as the logical continuation of the lectures and tutorials held throughout the first four semesters, through which the student becomes fully competent in dealing with Sanskrit prose texts. In the seminar several hymns of the Rigvedic and the Atharvavedic corpora are carefully studied and analysed, gradually preparing the students to take up the study of this highly difficult but most relevant part of the Old Indic literature independently.
