Pedagogical practice is carried out in primary, secondary and (exceptionally) higher professional or higher education schools, in the teaching of various subjects: in primary school withinin the subjects Society 4 and Society 5, in the elective subjects Ethnology - encounters with cultures and ways of life and Ethnology - modernity with heritage dimensions. Pedagogical practice can also be carried out in other primary and secondary school subjects, for example in history, sociology, geography, Slovenian citizenship and homeland education, as well as the subjects of ethics, tourism education, cultural heritage, gastronomy, as well as in the context of teaching foreign languages. It can also take place within the framework of extracurricular projects in the local environment and at the national level, and in cultural institutions, for example in galleries and museums, with which the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology has a cooperation agreement.

Pedagogical practice is sensibly linked to the contents of the course Ethnological didactics. During the internship, students prepare relevant teaching materials, and provide ethnological and cultural anthropological content to students or participants in workshops, project events, and gallery or museum education. Students cooperate with mentors in the planning and implementation of lessons or education, and they also perform trial pedagogical work in a school or in the pedagogical section of a gallery, museum or other institution.
